Contemporary figurative wall art – After Hours

Three women, one scene, one attitude
After Hours features three women gathered in a clean-lined interior, each occupying the space with quiet confidence. Two are seated in large armchairs while the third, standing in the center, structures the entire composition. The raised glasses suggest an aperitif, a celebration, or simply a shared moment, without the work truly imposing its story.
It is precisely this ambiguity that gives the painting its character. The expressions are restrained, almost impassive, while the exaggerated silhouettes impose a very fashionable presence. The spectacular sleeves, colorful pants, and green hat compose a scene halfway between editorial illustration and contemporary figuration.
A muted palette with very modern charm
Here, color does not seek a spectacular effect. Powder pink, wine red, khaki, burnt orange, beige, and slightly greyed blue respond to each other in a deliberately matte harmony. The drawing remains visible and some lines appear almost sketched, giving the whole a more sensitive and artisanal aspect.
The large colored surfaces of the background deliberately simplify the space. Only a few elements are needed to set the scene: a monumental vase, delicate branches, two enveloping armchairs, and a coffee table. This economy of detail focuses the gaze on the characters and their attitudes.
After Hours will naturally find its place in our world of women's paintings, but its graphic aesthetic also makes it an interesting proposition for discovering our contemporary figurative paintings.
An original work to choose according to your interior
Created by our studio, After Hours is an original painting that cannot be found elsewhere and is made in France. Three finishes subtly alter its perception.
On 100% cotton canvas 340 g/m² stretched on a solid wood frame, the rendering is warm and slightly textured. This finish particularly complements the muted colors and the drawn aspect of the composition, with a presence close to a traditional work.
The PVC offers a smoother surface and a visually lighter silhouette on the wall. The solid colors become clean and homogeneous, which reinforces the graphic and contemporary character of the painting.
Aluminum, more refined, provides a precise and modern finish. Its surface is particularly suitable for minimalist interiors and highlights the contrasts between the warm tones of the clothes and the solid colored areas of the background.
In a living room, bedroom, or professional space, After Hours does not simply seek to decorate: it sets a scene, personalities, and that intriguing impression of having arrived in the middle of a story that has already begun.

How to choose a modern painting for your home?
Choosing a modern painting primarily depends on the atmosphere you wish to create in your home. A graphic and contrasting wall art piece will add character to a contemporary living room, while an abstract or minimalist painting will naturally fit into a minimalist space.
The size of the painting also plays an essential role. A large format work becomes a strong focal point, whereas a more discreet format allows for harmonious integration with existing decor. Colors, contrasts, and artistic style must interact with the room's volumes and materials.
The choice of finish medium fully contributes to the final rendering of the artwork. Iconik-Art paintings are available on a stretched canvas frame for an authentic and pictorial look, on expanded PVC for a contemporary and lightweight finish, or on aluminum for a modern effect with subtle and elegant reflections.
Iconik-Art collections are designed to adapt to different living spaces, whether it's a living room, an office, or a bedroom. Each decorative painting is conceived to provide a strong visual signature while remaining consistent with the interior's balance.
How to hang the painting?
There are several methods for hanging a picture depending on the type of wall (plasterboard, concrete, wallpaper, etc.), but the simplest and most practical solution remains adhesive strips or nails (like TESA or 3M).
These systems are perfectly suited to our supports (canvas frame, aluminum or expanded PVC panel), require no drilling, and can be removed without leaving any traces if used correctly.
👉 Please note: We provide 4 adhesive strips per picture
